Synopsys Outreach Foundation

OutreachThe Synopsys Silicon Valley Science and Technology Outreach Foundation is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1999. The Foundation supports project-based learning at public schools and private not-for-profit schools in California. The Foundation receives the bulk of its funding from Synopsys, Inc. of Mountain View, CA., a global leader in electronic design automation.

Based in San Rafael, CA., the Foundation supports and sponsors countless science fairs and special programs, conducts teacher training seminars, and provides cash and material grants to select schools, including the annual donation of some 60,000 science project poster boards to students across the state.

Students in 5th and 6th grades only. Individuals and group projects with up to 3 participants. No class projects. Just one project per class, please.

Each teacher can enter one 5th grade project and one 6th grade project--but no more than that.
